Accessory drive gearbox (ADG)
The accessory drive gearbox transmits power from the engine shaft, through carefully positioned gears, through to aircraft and engine components such as the hydraulic and fuel pumps, combustors and electric generators.
Avio is a world leader in this sector: the first components were produced in the 1970s and, since then, Avio's manufactured parts have accumulated over 150 million in-service flight hours.
Power transmission
Mechanical power transmission, used in engines for turboprop aircraft and helicopters, transfers power from the drive shaft to the aircraft propeller or from the engine to the helicopter's main and tail rotor blades. The system is one of Avio's leading products.
The first units produced go back to the 1960s, and since then Avio has continued to invest in power transmission to consolidate its leadership in the sector.
