    Coccon New Senior Vice President of Communication

    Giuseppe Coccon Leaves Barilla to Head Up Avio Communication

    Rivalta di Torino (TO), 1 December 2011 – From January 2012, Giuseppe Coccon will be the new chief of the Avio Group’s Communication.
    Giuseppe Coccon, 45, from Milan, began his career as a journalist (Il Giornale and Il Corriere della Sera), and subsequently gained important experience, first in Omnitel, then Federchimica, and later joined the Barilla Group as Communication & Media Relations Director. He graduated in Law at the University of Milan.

    In Avio, Coccon will manage the communication team: Press Office; External Relations; Brand Image; and Internal Communication.

    The new director will be called upon straight away to manage the activities connected to Vega, the space launch vehicle that will make its maiden qualification flight in 2012. In fact, Vega represents the leading product of the Group’s space activities, and its qualification will be an extremely important historical goal for the European aerospace industry.
