    Avio presents new web site

    On-line aviogroup.com, completing institutional re-branding actions

Rivalta di Torino (TO), 25 October 2011 – As from today, the new Web Site (aviogroup.com.) is on-line with additional contents and updated graphics that complete the on-line presence of the Avio Group, leader worldwide in the design and production of components and systems for aerospace propulsion. In July, the social profiles of Facebook and Twitter were in fact started up, allowing users to follow the main international events in the aeronautical and space sectors that see Avio as a leading player: from the delivery of the most up-to-date aircraft whose engines are produced thanks to Avio, to the activities of the European Space Centre in French Guyana.

All these publishing initiatives represent the natural aspect of the project started up with the adoption of the new logo and that is now continuing with a series of actions regarding the Company’s image.

The new site makes it possible to experience the Avio world through a more intuitive navigation: the homepage welcomes visitors by proposing large dimensional images with strong visual impact and a series of navigation paths that enables users to enter the main Company areas according to their knowledge of the aerospace sector. From aeroengine products to Company structure, passing through the industrial centenary history and collaborations with the main national and international universities and research centres, to arrive at the description of all the production sites and activities in the different countries of the world. Moreover, from the homepage it is possible to see the institutional video that illustrates the Company’s most extraordinary activities, from ‘bench tests’ of the powerful engines of the Eurofighter Typhoon, to the laser manufacturing of components, and exciting images of the take-off of the Ariane 5 satellite launch vehicle, for which Avio produces the boosters.

Each section enables users to study product knowledge in depth through textual information, images and films. The new “Aviopedia” application also allows them to arrive at the information of interest in just a few clicks by inserting the sector of application or the name of the component, engine or the aircraft on which it is installed (without forgetting the industrial and marine applications of aeroderivative gas turbines or activities in the space field).

The graphical concept, designed and produced by DGT MEDIA – one of the Italy’s main digital agencies – was inspired by the visual identity of the Group: the predominant colour is blue, which has accompanied the Company since its establishment, in 1908, and recalls the tones of the sky; and the environment that, more than anything else, calls to mind Avio’s core business.

The new site is also navigable from the main mobile systems.
