The constant Avio engagement directed to the environment protection is transferred in the reduction of environmental impact coming besides from own production process and own product.

Avio dedicates particular attention to the new eco-compatible development processes, directed to search alternative solutions to limit and, avoid if possible, the use of dangerous substances and preparations. On this wave were individualized some processes to minor environmental impact, thanks to synergic collaborations and research projects with University and national and international partners.

Regarding the product, it is by now well-known that the aviation world contributes to the climatic change, representing currently about 2% of man produced carbon dioxide emissions. The growing of aeronautical sector and the significant increment of foreseen air transportation until 2020 (also due to the economic boom of take-off countries) caused European legislator intervention with more and more tightening objectives in terms of the atmospheric pollution reduction.

In this context, main Avio objective, currently involved in more than 40 international, national and local programs, is that to develop and demonstrate the qualifying technologies on new generation engines, that will enter in service in next decade, as well as to realize new products in a position to assuring high performances, reduced consumptions and emissions restriction.
