Aster is a family of anti-aircraft surface/air missiles made by Eurosam, the European consortium composed by MBDA Italy, MBDA France and Thales. The family has two variants Aster 15 and Aster 30. The guidance system uses an electronic device. The Aster missiles are designed to be used both by naval units and land launchers.
