The ECU, integrated into the Dome Assembly, processes signals for servovalves controlling the nozzles’ jacks. These come from the automatic pilots and from positional information provided by the potentiometers located on the jacks’ pistons.
The positioning is actioned through four hydraulic jacks (two per nozzle, located at 90° from each other), each controlled by a servovalve. The jacks’ positions are detected by the four potentiometers connected to the same jacks. The ECU, depending on the orders received by the automatic pilot and the positions detected by the potentiometers, defines the values of the servovalves’ settings.
