YT706

The YT706 is one of the most advanced turboshafts engines, part of the successful T700/CT7 turboprop and turboshaft engine family. The engine powers the Black Hawk helicopter. Together with the T700-T6E1, where Avio is also responsible for engine assembly, it is a one of the best performing engines in extreme weather conditions.

The engine family powers 25 aircraft and helicopters currently in service and has over 130 clients in over 50 countries.

Avio is responsible for the procurement of mechanical parts of the power turbine and the accessory drive gearbox for the YT706 engine, in its B5 special operations (OPS) version.

Avio is also responsible for the design and production of several cold section components (frames, casings) as well as the procurement of some external engine parts (tubes, flange).
