The T700-T6A engine was expressly developed to equip the EH101 helicopter.
Avio carries out the production of components for the low-pressure, the accessory drive train and other components and structures. Avio also deals with complete engine assembly and testing.
Avio, partner of General Electric, collaborates on the development, qualification, certification, production, marketing, sales and product support phases of the T700-T6A turboshaft engine.
The T6A is an engine in the 1,500 Kw power class.
Low-Pressure Turbine
Avio is responsible for the production of:
- Fourth-stage nozzle and seal
- Third- and fourth-stage blade
- Third-stage nozzle
- Third- and fourth-stage shroud
- Casing

Assembly and Engine Testing
Avio’s contribution in the development phase of the engine was concentrated on the design of the structural parts such as the front frame (main and middle), and an external configuration. Avio also carried out all bench tests, paying special attention to the development and qualification of the engine.

Accessory Drive Train
For the T700-T6A engine, Avio is responsible for the production of the accessory drive train, which includes the input gearbox, which transfers torque from the HP engine shaft to the vertical transmission shaft accessories, which connects the input Gearbox to the Accessory Gearbox, which is supported on upper side of the external compressor casing and drives six accessories.
