There are over 60 models of the PT6A Pratt & Whitney Canada engine, which powers aircraft such as the P-180 and the Pilatus. The engine is currently in service with 6,500 international operators in over 170 countries. Over 36,000 engines have been produced since the engine family entered into service in the 1960s, and have since then accumulated more than 300 million flight hours.
Avio, as a Pratt & Whitney Canada partner, is responsible for the production of the combustion chamber in different versions of the engine.
