The CT7-8E is one of the most advanced turboshaft engines. It is part of the well-known engine family developed and produced in partnership with GE for the UH60 helicopter.
Avio is responsible for the design and production of mechanical parts for the power turbine, the production of the accessory drive gearbox, and the design and production of several parts of the cold section (frames, case) as well as the procurement of a number of external engine parts (tubes, flange).
Avio is also responsible for engine assembly.
Derived from the successful T700/CT7 turboprop and turboshaft engine family, the CT7-8E powers 25 aircraft and helicopters in service and has over 130 clients in over 50 countries.
