In the military sector, Avio designs and manufactures subsystems and components for aeronautical engines, such as low-pressure turbines, power transmissions, accessory drive gearboxes and afterburners. Avio also develops auxiliary power units (APU) and engine electronic control systems.
Avio is the preferred supplier of aircraft engines for the Italian Armed Forces – we act as systems integrators responsible for assembly, testing, certification, delivery and supply of logistical support.
