Avio has been committed for many years in the design and production of components for aeroderivative gas turbines (LM2500 family) that, especially prepared through an Avio kit (“marine application kit”), are installed on board ships. Among the most relevant applications are the Italian Navy’s aircraft carrier, the Cavour, and the Italian-French FREMM frigates. Avio also produces electronics and electrical systems like the platform simulation system, the turbine control system and the tactical table for marine applications.
