LMS100

From LMS100 project a new aeroderivative gas turbine was born, the most powerful on the market today, able to supply a power of 100 MW for each package, combined with high thermal efficiency in simple cycle.

The turbine is a combination of components derived from the CF6-80C2 aeroengines series used on Boeing’s B747 and B767, and parts of the industrial gas turbines of the MS6001FA Frame series.

Avio was already GE partner from the turbine development, and designed the following components and modules:

IPT Module – Intermediate Pressure Turbine
PT – Power Turbine disks and stator vanes (5 stages)
power turbine rotor blades

Moreover, Avio is responsible for supplying the following components:

accessory gearbox
inlet gearbox
front frame
spline adapter
