The LM6000 family uses components derived from aeronautical engines of CF6-80C2 series. Until now they have been installed about 800 LM6000 that totalized nearly 13.000.000 of working hours.
The LM6000 machines operate in a power range from 43 to 50 MW and are offered in three versions: PC (basic), Sprint – Spray Inter-cooling Technology, DLE (Dry Low Emission Technology). This one version is able to guarantee a pollution emissions level not exceeding 15 ppm NOx.
From 2009 it will be commercialized a expanded version – LM6000 Growth – it will be able to reach 60 MW of power.
Main features:
- Max Power: 60 MW
- Thermal Efficiency: over 43%
- Ignition duration cycle: Just 10 min to reach max power
- Modular design
- Feeding: natural gas or liquid fuel
- Proposed configurations: Simple cycle, combined cycle and co-generation
