The LM6000 family uses components derived from aeronautical engines of CF6-80C2 series. To date, about 800 LM6000 gas turbines have been installed with nearly 13 million working hours.
The LM6000 turbines operate in a 43-50MW power range and are offered in three versions: PC (basic), Sprint–Spray Inter-cooling Technology, DLE (Dry Low Emission Technology). This last version is able to guarantee a level of polluting emissions not exceeding 15 ppm NOx.
Avio also commercialises an expanded version (LM6000 Growth), able to reach 60MW of power.
