

There are over 30 different versions of this Pratt & Whitney Canada engine. The engine family is currently being used by 365 international operators in 124 countries. Over 6,000 engines (from the PW118 to the PW150) have been produced since 1984 when the engine family first went to market, building up over 100 million flight hours. The PW150 powers the Bombardier Q400.
As a Pratt & Whitney Canada partner, Avio is responsible for the design, development and production of the mechanical power transmission (Reduction Gearbox or RGB).
The PW150 is a turboprop engine. It is equipped with a Full Authority Digital Electronic Control (FADEC) system and Engine Monitoring System (EMS).
