    CT7-8A

    The CT7-8A engine equips the Sikorsky S92 civil helicopter with two 2500 shp class engines, which can transport up to 16 people plus 2 crew with a range of 1,000 km.

    Avio is responsible for the production of the accessory drive train of the engine and deals with the procurement of certain parts (gears, bearings, seals), under their direct manufacture (housing, adapter), as well as the engine assembly in order to deliver a ready-to-use product to the customer.

    Avio is partner of GE for the motorisation of the CT7-8A (a variation of the T700 base motorisation) with a 40% share.

    Accessory Drive Train

    Avio is responsible for the production of the accessory drive train of the CT7-8A engines.

    Avio deals with the procurement of certain parts (gears, bearings, seals), their manufacture (housing and adapter) and assembly in order to deliver a ready-to-use product to the customer.

    The accessory drive train comprises the injection gearbox (which transfers torque from the HP engine shaft to the accessory gearbox), the vertical shaft (that links the injection gearbox to that of the accessories), the accessory gearbox, which is supported on the upper part of the external engine compressor case and activates 6 accessories.

    - third- and fourth-stage airfoil
